Hi, my name is Ayaan. I also go by Batman so that may be where you've recognized me. I've been debating in Congress for about two years now, and I've learned about not just domestic societies, but the impact that one's voice has on the globe. Personally, I have made strides to inflict impactful messages in my community, so that I eventually can shape policies from a superior level. My involvement in congressional debate has allowed me to embrace my ideas, but I also believe mock trial has had a chief role in my development as well. Coming from a school with no mock trial team, finding community within others has been crucial to me. I believe that starting the mock trial team at my school was the first step towards allowing me to give fellow students the opportunity to express their advocacies, but the second step for me was joining Equitrial. The mission statement of diversity & inclusion for all those wanting to be involved in Mock Trial has entailed a personal sentiment, so I'm glad to be part of the team to help others find their own voice, like I found mine. I look forward to the future of Equitrial, and I wish everyone reading this the best.

Hi, my name is Kai, I'm currently a sophomore in an American overseas school located in Europe. I've been seriously debating for about three years now, and World Schools is my absolute favorite format because of how dynamic and flexible it is. I'm currently on the developmental national team in my country for the World Schools Debate Championships, and I've won this year's Eurasian Schools Debate Championship & best speaker award, as well as the U16 Transatlantic World Schools Championship. Credentials aside, I love debate for its magical ability to make you fall in love even with its most unpleasant aspects: demanding workload, high stress, and fast talkers. For me, the debate is where we are equalized as the younger generation heading into a world that may seek to silence or sideline us. But through debate, I find students better prepared for the tough conversations we must have as we grow and eventually step into our future society-running, world-ruling, and work-doing adult roles. This place values merit, equality, and justice even when all else denies them, a message that I hope to amplify through Equitrial. I can't wait to work with you and introduce the wonders of world schools to you!
